NABL Launches New Medical Application Portal for ISO 15189:2022 Applicant Laboratories
A Digital Leap Towards Transparency, Efficiency, and Quality in Healthcare Accreditation
In a major step toward strengthening India’s healthcare quality ecosystem, the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), under the Quality Council of India (QCI), has launched a new Medical Application Portal for ISO 15189:2022 applicant laboratories.
Unveiled during the virtual event “GOING LIVE”, the portal is designed to enhance ease, efficiency, and transparency in the accreditation process. It features a restructured application flow, standardized templates, a pre-registration checklist, and multi-user access, enabling faster data entry, improved oversight, and accountability.
QCI Chairperson Shri Jaxay Shah stated that processes previously taking weeks can now be completed within hours, marking a major digital leap in India’s quality landscape. NABL Chairperson Dr. Sandip Shah added that the portal reinforces NABL’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and ease of doing business for laboratories nationwide.
Transforming the Accreditation Experience
The NABL Medical Application Portal has been carefully restructured to mirror real-world laboratory operations, enabling a streamlined and intuitive application experience.

- Restructured application flow with logical sequencing for efficiency.
- Standardized templates and pre-registration checklists for accuracy and compliance.
- Multi-user access functionality, allowing laboratories to assign specific roles and permissions.
- Interactive dashboards and improved data management tools for better oversight and accountability.
