PhD Research Opportunity – Spring 2027

The Yazdi Laboratory invites expressions of interest from highly motivated candidates for a fully in-person PhD research opportunity beginning in Spring 2027.
Research and Training
The selected candidate will receive interdisciplinary training in biomaterial design, nanoparticle formulation and characterization, immunology, and preclinical evaluation. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and characterizing nanoparticle and biomaterial platforms
- Conducting cell-based and immunological studies
- Analysing quantitative research data
- Presenting research findings and contributing to scientific publications
- Participating in a collaborative research and mentoring environment
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, materials science, pharmaceutical sciences, immunology, or a closely related field.
Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in biomaterials, mammalian cell culture, cytotoxicity assays, PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, or immunology. A thesis-based master’s degree and peer-reviewed publications are advantageous.
